I need to figure out how to put the Energy Suspension Transmission mount in.

that is excatly what I have. The instructions are worthless. I need to know if I need to use that stupid metal bar and where the hell do the washers/lockwashers go.

btw I think the metal bar touches the tranny but if I don't put washers inbetween the poly mount and the metal bar the metal bar isn't flush becase of the stupid bumps on the poly mount.

help!!

The plate goes against the transmission. The bolts go through the washers/lockwashers, the mount and then the plate (and into the trans). You tighten everything down and the metal plate will "pre load" the mount (then it will sit flush on the trans). Install the cross member and bolt it to the mount.

Drive the car.

I didn't install the preload plate, but it ain't hard. Just have to drop the crossmember (5 bolts), and take the stocker off (2 more bolts).

I would never use poly in the tranny mount.....to unforgiving....could cause things to break......try a GM/acdelco mount if you need one......yes i have used poly and went back to rubber

My Prothane didn't come with a preload plate like the energy suspension mount does. I wouldn't sweat over the plate that much honestly.
