Spohn Torque Arm
One of my bolts wouldn't tighten up so he was checking it out while welding in my LCA relocation brackets...unreal ! I have to either fix the TA or get a new one first then worry about the bolts.

Might as well do it right and get the best you can buy. That's my motto. Other's might have more mods than me, but I try to buy the best I can, I rather have the best quality over quantity.

and the hardware package. I'm installing it tomorrow, but later on down the road, when I purchase a 12 bolt or 9" rear, will I have problems with the torque arm? It's a great strong piece and I'd hate to get rid of it, especially after spending four hundred dollars on it.
1.42 60 with a 6 speed. PS Spohn stood behind there product. I just had to pay for the new slicks that got cut down in the process and the yoke that twisted when it pulled the driveshaft out of the tranny.
going to be getting the longer bolts next time it starts up.
How many times have you borken things that normal people wouldn't even think about going wrong. that sucks

OOOOOUCH! mine is not nearly that severe. I only snapped the plate on the first bolt on the underside of the rearend. I must say that is very impressive though.
It the bolts mounting the torque arm to the rearend loosen up, the torque arm will work the bolts back and forth, and can cause them to strip out the threads in the rear-end, plus ruin the torque arm bracket. Normally you can hear and feel this movement when the bolts loosen up, but not always.
The Moser 9 inch uses the factory method of mounting the torque arm, using two long bolts that go all the way down through. The Moser 9 inch does not have the problem with the torque arm bolts backing out. For those of us with the Moser 12 bolt, we have found that longer torque arm bolts and loc-tite are a must. Bob
