Give sam strano a call.I just got off the phone with his wife, asking the same questions. She was very helpful, and gave me advice on which way to go depending on your riding styles.GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.Took her time and did not pressure me at all.Just told me what I should go with on how I want to use my car.Give them a call.

I've been looking into this myself for the past couple of weeks. How low do you want to go, and how much money are you looking to spend?

I drove a slammed SS about a year ago, and the ride was TERRIBLE!! Y pipe scrapped on everything you could think of, and the car bounced all over the place. Truely horrendus. (sp??)

If you're looking for a small drop for appearance sake, but also would like to get a lower profile for handling, look into getting Koni SA (single adjustable) shocks. They're about $800 bucks, but I hear said they make your car handle like it's on rails, and you can use them to lower your car about an inch.

The front's have a lower spring perch, and the rear you can do what they call the "heater hose mod." Check them out. It might be exactly what you're looking for. I'm going that route myself here this weekend or next.

Good luck man.

Start by searching these forums, and give Sam Strano a call. There are lots of people here that have them (myself included) and I have yet to hear of anyone who was really unhappy with them, with he possible exception of a couple drag race only guys.

I have the DMS springs with Koni SA shocks. I like this setup, but the front is pretty low. I'm happy with it, it handles great and it looks good.

If you put lowering springs on, your gonna want to put shocks on that can handle the increased spring rate. Those stock shocks won't hold up very long if you just put lowering springs on the car plus it won't really do that much for handling. Definitely talk to Sam Strano about your car's setup. I recommend the Koni Single Adjustable shocks all around. I just installed Koni SAs and an Eibach Pro-Kit (lowering springs) on my car...the difference is unbelievable. I highly recommend the Koni SAs, trust me, you won't be disapointed.

That indeed sounds about right. I got my Pro-Kit as a gift so I didn't have to pay for it , but usually lowering springs are $200-$250 for a set and your probably going to pay roughly $800-$825 + shipping for brand new Koni SAs. In my opinion Koni's + any lowering springs are a sweet setup.
