no.... because then the rest of you will want your ""Handling & Braking For Autocross" and ""Handling & Braking for Road racing"..... and atleast one person on here would want "Handling & Braking for dirt track"

seriously though, give the guy a break... its a HANDLING forum and he wanted to know the effects on HANDLING with the swaybar removed.... true, most of the guys in here DONT KNOW because they arnt drag racers, and its a drag race thing..... but lets not hold that against them... the questions been answered... and if i see it asked again, you know what?? i'll answer it the same next time... because the search sucks, and its a easy question to answer... anyone who has a problem with that should sit back, not reply, and chill out.. its only the internet.

I was serious in that post too. I guess it deemed a little more explanation though.

Its dangerous because you wont be able to move the car out of the way if something happens. Youll plow like a dump truck, running whatever you were trying to avoid over, possibly injuring or killing someone.... even yourself.

They are on there for a reason, IMO removing it for drag racing inst worth it for the extra pounds you save.

Its not necesserily about the pounds you save, but more about the weight transfer. It unlinks the front end, which is the main reason to do it. However the extra 12 or 13 pounds removed from the front end is a nice benefit. Mine is on and is staying on because i enjoy to take sharp turns at a good speed. However, i will probably unlink it for the track.

as for the drag racing part of your post.......its more for weight transfer than weight reduction

Nope. Sorry pal. Just better handling than 99% of the cars I drive by everyday.....minivans, trucks, accords, anything but the RARE sports cars that you see everyday.

If I can't avoid little johnny wondering on the freeway since I have no sway bar........I'd like to see a truck do it better.

Question for you guys that pull the bar off altogether for drag race purposes. Why not just disconnect one endlink while at the strip and then reconnect it before heading home? Pretty simple really. That's what I used to do anyway, but then again I AM getting pretty old so it might not be relevant anymore...

I haven't read all the posts, but here is my set up...

No front sway bar, KBDD sub-frames, wolfe 6 pt weld in roll bar and a 1 5/16ths rear sway bar (sphon drag bar) The car seems to handle like a stock F-bod...I don't corner carve though and I only drive 70 miles round trip to the track with it. FWIW.

I did remove the end links one time when the car was stock and It's not something I would DD.

Don't encourage me....I got busted for that one

And FULTON: I removed mine alltogether because i am also a weight saving SOB.....and once you learn the new "set-up" on your car without it...IT IS NO BIG DEAL.

Ive been doin it for over a year, at interstate speeds, everyday even in bad weather. I even have bfg drag radials on the back. no complaints here, I did install a heavy duty rear sway bar before i lost the front one though
