Default Will an M6 torque arm fit an A4 car?

If you look in my other thread about part #'s, you'll notice that there are 2 part #s for torque arms, A4 and M6 version. Will the M6 TA fit an A4? And vice versa?

The M6 torque arm is 52 cents cheaper than the A4 version, from gmpartsdirect. I wonder what the actual difference is. I assume they are interchangable, because all aftermarket torque arms are 'generic', in that they are not A4/M6 specific. I just wanted to be sure though, I've never seen a M6 torque arm.

Thanks

I've stuck various rears in without a problem, but don't know about the TA mount by the tranny...

Hmmm okay, so it'll bolt to the rear fine. I am assuming it attaches with the same mount and bushing at the front too, because I could only find one part # for a torque arm bushing (so I assume they are shared between M6 and A4 cars).

Hmm anyone got any pics of the M6 mount/bushing on the tailshaft of the transmission? Mine's out of the car right now so I can compare (mine was destroyed by a broken driveshaft).

Hey prockbp, could you clarify that?

I realize the mount is different since they were 2 different transmissions, but maybe you are saying that the portion of the mount that the torque arm fits into is different too? If the arms are the same shouldn't they use the same bushing/mount style?

Alls I'm really asking is if a M6 torque arm will fit an A4's mount/bushing.

Thanks!
