Cheap AutoX Brake Upgrade. O.k. I just passed 11,000miles on the SS, owned it for 5,000 miles now and the stupid GM brakes are starting to warp. UGH I knew this was going to happen.
Anyways, I will run the car in ESP (because B stock is stupid in a SS since the PAX is almost indentical) I orginally wanted to run the Eradispeed Rotors Since they have such a awesome garuntee and are lighter. Guess what? No dice since they are two piece fronts.
So this leaves me with this:
New Rotors from Autozone Yes Autozone: $78 a pair for the Front, $124 a par for the rear.
Pads: Hawk HPS Pads from Tirerack: $74 for the fronts and $54 for the rear.
Earls Lines: From LMPerformance $105
Other than the Fluid which I'm not sure about yet, that's $435 for the whole thing and it works in the ESP rules. I don't know if I need the rear rotors so I might not do them, but I might as well since I'm going in there.
Any thoughts?

Just checked my Front brakes today and they are only out of round by less than .001" So there goes the need for front rotors. It seems at some point someone Torqued them with a air wrench. God I hate that. The stock rotors will last a long time if you hand tighten them, and then do a two stage tightening once at 60 ft/lbs and then again at max torque.

Re: Cheap AutoX Brake Upgrade. If you check out the Eradispeed Catalog then you will notice that there are no Eradispeed 1 Piece Rotors for the front of the F-Body, there is only 2 Peice or Eradispeed + for the front.

Re: Cheap AutoX Brake Upgrade. The diff. is that one pice is a solid unit and two piece the hub and outer are made seperate then put together with attatching hardware. <img border="0" alt="[chug]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" />
You can use two piece on youre car because youre not havin to follow rule for a certain race class. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
