I have 98 Camaro I've just measured the rear sway bar and got 15mm or .6" What i heared it should be 19mm in the back. Well my qustion is I have serious problem not hooking the rear tires-up even with ET Streets 26X10.5X16. Is it possible it might be from thin sway bar. I have all suspension mods as followes Hotchicks springs, sub frams, pan., lower control arms, and Sphon torque arm with -2degrees penion angle. So what is better acually thinner or thicker rear sway bar or dont even have one at all?
Thanks in advance, Harry

A thicker rear swaybar is better for drag racing, as it helps reduce the side to side movements of the car. For drag racing, removal of the front swaybar is the best.
If you're pretty hardcore, Wolfe makes a swaybar that offers no side to side sway of the rear end, not very streetable but the ultimate at the strip. One notch more streetable is the BMR swaybar that just camse out. Its adjustable for preload. You could also try putting an airbag in the passenger side rear.
Got HAL shocks? those help too. Maybe your track prep sucks.

well i ahve done all the track prep as possible. but i am still running on stock shocks and and the crapy 15mm sway bar (i dont even know how that got their) but its really 15mm, i measered it like 5 times.
i want something thats street and strip to cut about 1.5-1.6 60 foot times.

I didn't mean how you prep the car for the track, I mean how the track crew preps it by VHT-ing and dragging it. Where do you race at, Carlsbad or LACR?
Lining up behind a big tire bracket racer will help your 60s a lot.
