Default Wheel hop ?

Hey folks, I've got Globle West Sperical LCA's, Eibach Pro-Kit Srings and Bilstien shocks. Rear tires are Yoko. 032Rs in 315/40/17 size. Problem is I'm getting some wheel hop, usually when slamming 2nd. Doesn't seem to it much when I first launch. Will the LCA relocation brackets get rid of it or will it take a new torque arm? Would a poly T.Arm bushing help? Don't really want to spend the bucks on a T.Arm right now but I have 4.10s in the stock rear and don't want to tear it up either. I know from my 4x4 experience that wheel hop tears up the rear, yea, yea, I know the 10 bolt is wimpy and is going to break anyway but I've got around 100 or so 1/4 passes on it with radials with 60fts in the 1.90 range and it ain't broke yet. Would like to help keep it that way. Thanks

Do you have a panhard rod?

My SS came with the Bilstein suspension and I had massive wheel hop. After I had Hotchkis LCA's and panhard rod installed the wheel hop was gone, and I don't have the relocation brackets yet.

Peace,
Craig.

i'd say that control arm relocation brackets are your best bet....

I'm pretty sure I need the relocation brackets because my LCA's are at an angle when the should be level (from what I was told).
The relocation brackets and torque arm are on my to do list, but I'm in no hurry.

Peace,
Craig.

I have adj. pan hard bar, lower control arm , relocation brackets, Edelbrock torq arm & poly bushing and still have the same wheel hop. I guess I'll change the shocks next.

Judd, I was wondering if you ever cured the wheel hop problem? I have a 2002 SS and I lowered it with the Eibach Pro-kit and it has real bad wheel hop. I was told the relocation brackets would work for the cure but just wondering if you fixed your problem and if you did what worked for you?

No,I haven't tried anything with it yet. Going to get a set of SFCs first. They won't cure the wheel hop but I just won't be 1/4 mileing for a while. To tell you the truth, my wheel hop isn't all that bad. Just a little worse than when it was stock but I do have the Globle West control arms. I don't get any when I launch, only when I ****** second. Would like to get rid of it completly though so I think a set of relocation brackets are next. Wish I could have been of more help.

I dont know why you would still have wheel hop but from my past experience with 2k C5 wheels, the bigger ones tend to hop.
My 18's hopped like a mother but my 16's never did once.
You really need to get rid of this wheel hop because it WILL destroy your rear quickly. How about going to a 16 inch tire? or buy 15 pro stars for the track? Other than that, if you have LCA's, relocation brackets, TA, panhard rod, I dont see why , maybe you dont have the right settings on your LCA's, they are supposed to be parallel with the ground.
Try different techniques. Take care.
