Default Z06 or C5R brakes?

I wonder if these will fit on a LS1?

Z06 brakes are the same as regular C5 brakes except for the color of the calipers and the brake pads.

We sell a C5 brake changeover package, provided you have 17" wheels. The total kit is $825 shipped, or if you want to buy your own GM parts, we sell the adapter brackets only for $249 plus shipping, including instructions, hardware, and a GM parts list

Lots of info and pricing available here:

EDIT : My store went out of business in 2002. You can still buy the conversion brackets from Trackbird at http://www.frrax.com however They are now made of T6061 aluminum for no weight penalty.

Thanks!

What do you mean 'how about the C5?"??? This setup IS C5 brakes, there is no difference between C5 and Z06 brakes other than the pad material and the color of the caliper. Rotor is 12.8inches (as compared to stock LS1 rotor which is 11.8, or the LT1 rotor which is 10.8) Caliper is dual piston, made by PBR and is a superior casting as compared to the LS1 fbody caliper. These brakes perform as good or better than setups costing twice as much.

Somebody will have to confirm this to make sure I'm not mixing up my terms, but the C5 caliper is pressure cast whereas the LS1 caliper is gravity cast. What that means is that the C5 caliper is more durable. I think the LS1 caliper has some spreading issues after extended race use that the C5 caliper doesn't suffer from.

It appears that the C5 caliper has similar mounting specs as the F-Body, however the mounting hole is larger, using a larger caliper mounting bolt slider pin?

Will a C5 slider pin work in an F-Body caliper frame?
