Default sway bars?

I would like to get tighten up the handling of my TA. Right now I am elploring 3 different kinds of bars

1LE: The price is right, they also seem to have a large following, would use poly end links since they don't come with any.

BMR: Love his service, kit comes complete, affordable, had good experiences with his stuff in the past.

Hotchkis: Bars are hollow for wieght savings, looks like they come with greasable bushings,

My suspension mods are:
KB SFC's BMR STB BMR chromoly LCA rubber/poly
BMR APHR poly/poly KYB AGX shocks Granitelli Springs Random Technology TA Bmr LCA relocation brackets

I am currently running Yokohama AVS Sport 275/315.

Whats your opinion on sway bars, I occasionly autoX, drag race once a month, and beat up on mustangs and imports all the time!

Try investigating the S.T.s 35mm front and either a stock rear or a 21mm 1LE rear. The S.T. 35mm is cheap{around 130.00}and I really like it. Give Sam Strano a call. If you are looking for light wieght, these ain't the ones as they are not hollow. But during a AutoX or lapping event, wieght really ain't a factor. When you are at the dragstrip, just take it off- takes a whooping 15 min. BTW, I thought the 35mm front would make it push bad with the stock rear. It don't, maybe just a tad in high speed stuff. Low and medium speed cornering is great. The push is most likely due to my driveing, I'm going to try a 21mm just for kicks.

A 35mm solid front bar seems like alot, especially when you consider all the other things I have done. Does any one have a lowered car with that much bar up front?

The ST 35mm is a hollow bar.

I have the BMR sway bar set and can attest to their excellence. The front 32mm Solid sway bar is equivilant to a 36mm Hollow bar, the rear 21mm Solid bar is equivilant to a 25mm Hollow bar. As a bonus his kits come with poly bushings (grease liberally with synthetic lube). You won't believe the difference in the handling, it's flat and tight.

The 35mm ST is not hollow unless they have just come out with one in the last couple of months.
My car has Eibach Pros that are that have a GMMG Blackbird spec. They said they were a smidge stiffer than regular Pros and gave the same drop{1 inch in front,1.5 in rear} They actually lowered it bit more in the front, maybe 1.5 inches. The rest is in my sig. Honestly, give Sam a call. When he first told me about useing a 35mm front with the stock 19mm rear, I thought it would push bad. It went against all I've heard about RWD suspensions. Always thought bigger front=more understeer, bigger rear = more oversteer. I listened to him and love it. Saying that, I can only compare it to when it was stock. I have no other experience with anything else as far as different setups. Sam has.

Yeah, both Suspension Techniques F/R bars are solid.

I've got them with the Eibach Prokit and all the same stuff except the torque arm.

These were the last suspension mod I did and they made a HUGE difference. Well worth the money.

I can't comment on just replacing the front but other than the harshness and tracking on 275/35/18s, it handles great. No bad steering characteristics.

I have the BMR solid units, 32mm front and 21mm rear. Very happy with them, really tightened up the handling, and they also come powder coated in all sorts of colors to dress up a some what drab undercarriage. I show my car so appearance was important too. Price was good too, they had a GP going on.

Just another "twist" for you!

I've had the Hotchkis big hollow set now for two years. Very happy with them. Mine is purely a driver and not a track car so I have not lowered it nor changed springs. It allows real flat body control but still gives clearance for practical street driving.
