Default ABS INOP when trying to do a burnout at the track?

On my 2nd run today at the track, I went to do my burnout and could not do one. The car just crept forward and would not spin the tires. The engine was revving up plenty but I just couldn't break them loose, like I had the ebrake on or something. I scratch my head and pull up to stage the car, and I notice my ABS INOP light is on. Made my uneventual pass (12.9) and the light went out after driving around the parking lot for about 30 seconds.

I've made at least 30 passes before with no issues. However, a few weeks ago I replaced my Torsen posi with a take-off one from SLP. I've had no problems since but it may be related somehow...
I also got an ABS INOP light when I did the dyno, but that was to be expected. I tested the ABS on teh way home and it worked fine so I'm HOPING it's a fluke but is there anything I can check? Not being able to do a burnout is embarassing, hurtful to performance, and I can't imagine the drivetrain likes it much.

Anyone else had the same issue? I'll try to do some burnouts in the morning maybe to see if it happens again but I'd like to hear what everyone else has to say, and if there's a way I can disable ABS while at the track so I won't get this problem.

I do NOT have TCS/ASR, btw.

I've had that happen to me right after a long burn-out. My car always ran find with it lit so I never worried about it too much.

I think its got something to do with the vibration/ frequency of the burn-out that either shakes one of the connectors or makes the abs computer go coocoo

I got that light while I was on the dnyo, but it went out after a couple of minutes of driving. Not sure why since I had TCS turned off.

I think it comes on when the ABS computer detects that the rear wheels are spinning, but the front wheels are not going anywhere. I believe its the huge difference in speeds detected by the ABS sensors.

How would it know if the front wheels are turning. There is no sensor for the front wheels.

If you do not have TCS, you have 3 channel ABS. (One on each front wheel, and one inside the rearend housing on the carrier. I agree with felton316, it has to do with the huge difference in wheel speed, the ABS computer just freaks out for a while. Happened all the time on my 2000. Shawn

Any idea why I couldn't do a burnout? I can understand trying to do a burnout with TCS on or something, but the car definitely could not spin the tires. Just crept forward no matter how much I stood on the brakes. I did a burnout just 20 mins prior to that, and did one after just to test and had no problems at all.
