Default Who sells hubcentric spacers for our cars?

You know, the kind that you bolt onto your hubs using the stock lugs. The spacer itself has more lugs in an offset pattern to attach the wheels.

I found www.hrsprings.com but they don't sell the size I want. I'm looking for 1/2" or approximately 15mm.

Thanks.

Don't even think about it. I have a set of 5/8" spacers, actually called wheel adapters, sitting in my basement. Bought them from Vette Brakes I think it was. First, the lugs weren't long enough to get a full bite on the lugnuts so I had longer studs pressed in. Second, your wheels must have pockets, between the holes that are big enough to accomodate the nuts that hold the spacers on. My WS6 wheels from SLP didn't quite make it. When I finally got them on, the front end sat slightly lower because of increased leverage on the springs and handling was changed. I put them on all four wheels and at 60 mph the whole car shook like every wheel was way out of balance. That was because the holes in the spacers are slightly larger that the wheel studs and unlike with tapered lug nuts, the spacers are held on with flat bottomed nuts and washers. I frankly don't think they are at all safe.

Dope,
I know that H&R used to make 15mm spacers for F-bods/Corvettes. I've been running a pair of their 5mm spacers on the rear for over a year now and love them. Not sure why they are no longer listed on the H&R website. These spacers are hubcentric and balanced. They're aluminum and hardly weigh a thing. I didn't have to replace the wheel studs for mine (only 5mm), but for a 15mm spacer you'll want longer ones. H&R should have those as well.

I can't remember who I ended up ordering them from. Initially it was shox.com, but they stopped carrying them, so they referred me somewhere else. I think it was nascarplace.com but they don't seem to exist anymore.

It does look like this place has them though, but I have no experience with them: http://www.optauto.com/webstore/prod...t=411&last=411

Hey thanks Fulton. I liked the H&R because a few of my buddies who road race use their spacers on their cars. They are VERY VERY hard on their cars on various high speed tracks around the country. Never had a problem. I don't imagine I will ever be able to subject mine to any sort of abuse like they do.

I've actually bought from that OptAuto place, my greddy catch can. They are good. I will have to pick up a set. Thanks!

I actually have a pair of 25mm spacers that I used in the rear. They have studs built into them and bolt to your existing studs. Only small issue is that you may have to trim your stock studs flush to the surface. Leaves plent to bolt the wheel up without the adapter. You may be able to have someone take off 8 to 10mm from the back side as the studs are countersunk into the flange. E-Mail me if you want any pics or anything.

I don't use them any more because I'm always changing to my drag rims and they are a pain to take 10 lug nuts off each side. No other reason.

Not sure I'd run those cheapys you find at the autoparts stores though. Those things look like trouble <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
