Default Hotchkis Strut Tower Brace

I need some serious help guys.
Just received my strut tower brace yesterday.
I was installing it today and noticed two odd things:

1) when I placed the spacer plates on the car, a
a little rubber piece was pushing it up

2) now for the most important, it seems that the
2 brackets that was supplied to me are both
indentical. One the right side of the car, it
fits fine because the holes line up. But on
left side, when i put the bracket on, its
doesn't go straith. Rather it's at an angle
towards the back of the engine (unlike the
other side which is at a 90 degree angle from
the windshield. Is it supposed to be this way ?

I appreciate your feedback.
A simple 20min installation is taking me for ever

thanks

You know what guys !
With my bad luck (as usual) the company sent me two identical brackets and they should be different so the wholes line up.
So I had order new brackets. Why does this crap always happen to me. I mean what are the chances that I always get the defect product.

This is truly a super modification, and anyone who likes a well-handling car should agree. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Good luck! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I used to have the Hotckis STB. It's supposed to stop flex right? Then why does it flex itself... I traded in for the LG part.

Don't worry about those rubber deals, just torque the thing down.

Read up on the STB.. it's my opinion and that of a few others that also race their cars that the STB is worthless on the street with street tires.
