Default Launching tips n tricks???

My 60' times sucked last trip (only trip) to the track. I had the original goodyear GSC's and they were a bit slick. The track won't spring for VHT on the street nights - just water.
Now I have 712's on the rear and running a M6. Stock clutch and rear - 3.42's.

Anyone have any tips ot tricks to get better times? I've played around trying a 2k launch but just break loose with anything much above that. Will be getting a set of Nitto's but want to wait til after other mods first.

Renegade, I agree with MM, but really 2.3 is not bad for the first time at the track with an M6. Have a friend with you? Take a water bottle fill with VHT, unless your too cheap, and at the second box, pour some down and spin in it just enough to coat the warm wheels. When you leave the line you'll feel it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Every now and then my friends this use this technique, same cheapass track management. Hell, we still don't have a time board- it has been slated for the last few years, like when I raced here in 90-91. Good-Luck.

Charlie.
