As long as you use something to keep it from being metal to metal (like a piece of innertube) then the only difference you should notice is that the rear of the car is about an inch lower. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Did this on my last suspension change. It's about a 3/4 drop on stock springs. I am using an Energy Suspension poly isolator in place of the factory piece. It's 1/4 or 3/8" thick. I was coming back up from Sportlines, so I can't say if there's much difference in ride vs. the stock isolator with stock springs.

Personally I noticed a little harcher ride, I think that big piece of rubber (the isolator) does a nice job of dampning the spring as opposed to it just sitting against the body.
I`ve had them on/off several times and the ride with the isolators does improve a bit.. maybe I~ll try cutting the springs next.

Use radiator hose. It works very well and it's only $5 at any auto parts store.

Ok so I'm a dumbass. How do you do this? Does it need to be on jacks?
