try the eradispeed rotors and the hawk set up, if you want a lil more you can always get a 6 piston brake kit

I'm thinking about getting the eradispeed/hawk setup. Anyone with experience with that? Opinions? It sounds great, but i haven't tried it yet.

People run the willwood 6 pistons kit with stock 17 inch rims and have to use spacers and thoes rotors are a hair under or right at 13 inches, the baer 6 pistons are 13.5 and they have a 14 inch and a 15 inch option if I do get them it will be the 13.5 inch kit but I really wouldnt mind the 14 inchers

I recently purchased the Powerslots and some GM direct replacement pads. They look great, are reasonably priced and stop way better than the factory setups.

I plan to test the JC Whitney rotors next spring. One person on here said that they work fine on his car.

I am currently abusing a set of Brembo OEM front rotors with Carbotech Panther Plus Pads and am yet to warp them (repeated stops from 130 mph have not bothered them at all...so far). They were $61.00 each from www.tirerack.com and seem to be the deal of the century so far (I warped my stock rotors at 7,500 miles). Good luck.

Sounds like you need the Autozone replacement rotors. Something like $45 each. They work better than stock (no warping), so I hear. I'm planning on getting the GStop rotors from LG Motorsports.

Baer Eradispeeds here. They're guaranteed not to warp. It's nice to come to a smooth stop at the end of the quarter. Factory rotors were warped like crazy at 8000 miles. That's pitiful

I just picked up another set of Autozone rotors tonight. They were $34 and change a piece.

I noticed you said "another set of autozone rotors". I have not tried them myself (on my 2002 Z, but I ran them on my 89 formula and got 3500 miles a set between warpage). I am yet to destroy the brembos and I have seen a few guys on here running track events that seem to have great luck as well. I went to Baer brakes website and read their Eradispeed "warranty" (before they took it off the site)and was impressed with the part that told me that I could not verify "warped" rotors by measuring rotor runout and that it was caused by a change in the structure of the cast iron by uneven heating and basically, they are not warped until baer says they are warped....sweet (I read the warranty a while ago and these are the highlights I remember reading before deciding not to try their rotors, maybe someone can repost the warranty from a set of their rotors). Not saying they are a bad product (I have not tried a set, I don't prefer drilled rotors from anyone), but I love a warranty that seems that it may be open to that much intrepretation (and nobody reads them anyway....). But, I did have a set of Baer 13" brakes on my 1989 Formula and they were a great product. Just my $.02...and you may want change back from that. (not trying to start any arguements, just wondered if anyone had a warranty form to verify what I remember seeing).

Personally, I like Brembo, and I trust them. 3 out of the last 5 sports cars we've had have used Brembos and even after the most spirited driving I've never had a single problem. I know it doesn't mean much to you, but I would go with the Brembos just because I can guarantee they will last you.

I have the JC Whitney's on my 99 SS. I am way past the point where the OEM rotors warped and so far there is no evidence of any vibration. The rotors are cross drilled and slotted, are made in Canada and when my mechanic checked them prior to installation, the runout was perfect.

Crossed fingers.

I was really concerned when I ugraded to the Brembo fronts (porterfield racing brakes has rears for $125 each) that I couldn't get rears. I decided to try the stock GM rear rotors and so far I've had no trouble with them (the fronts do the most work and seem to be the real problem). I won't change the rears until I finally warp them or the pads chew them in two (and they will)....good luck.
