Default Why don't my pads touch the entire rotor surface?

Just did my brakes last night with Sastisfied Pro Ceramic pads and some ebay rotors.

But the pads dont touch the whole rotor and they touch on different places on the rotors. Here's pictures of the fronts.

Also when I come to a complete stop, they make a loud noise like it slips a little before it completely grabs, but I'm not sure if that's because they're not completely broken in.

The brake pads are on right, they're flush against the caliper and everything. How concerned should I be?

because your pads are not as wide as you think. That is perfectly normal. Don't sweat the noise yet! You can also add a special lube to the back of the pads (non-rotor surface side) to reduce noise. There are also little sheets you can add to the back side to reduce noise.

Pads are fine.

Does it make a difference which way the slots are facing on the rotors? I'm guessing no but I figured I'd ask anyway.

The right side of the image is the front of the car.

I really don't want to have to take the calipers off and switch the rotors around :<
