What are you going to use the car for? A good street/strip torque arm would be the Spohn unit or BMR Extreme TA. If you want a more hardcore Torque arm give Madman a call.

IMO since you have a M6 you'll benefit from a shorter than stock TA that doesn't fight weight transfer.

To Drew2G2, yes this is the guy!! Sorry I took so long to respond. Did you see my signature. Gotta alot of stuff since then!! Anyway, yea, I took off the traction bars yesterday because it was a little rough and it was very very squeeky. Not only that it really puts strain on the bearings. To respond to the others: I have long tubes, when I started to look, they had ones that were made for cars who had long tubes. So please look again at my signature and determine which one would be the best for my application. I want it to be pretty stout. I hardly drive it, but I want it to handle the track with ET streets and then be fit for the road. Im leaning more to the strip side, so...I guess I want an extreme one. Thanks

Nineball is cutting insane 60' on a G2 unit.

And it uses all the stock mounting locations, has the correct pinion angle built in and works great with Longtubes

And, they are 25% off till the end of the month.

Well since it looks like you've got a stock rear, throw the Madman out(won't sell one to ya if you've got a stocker in back).

Go BMR or Spohn.

How does the Edelbrock tublar torque arm sound to you?

<img src="http://members.aol.com/CYOURDDS2//EdelbrockTA.jpg" alt=" - " />

Part # is 1745280 from www.ramchargers.com and it costs $170.

That looks cool, but its basically the stock set up, only reinforced with tublar bars. Ive seen some completely different set-ups and am wondering what theyre for and how they work. I still need more pics, suggestions, opinions,etc before I make a decision. But thank you though.

onebadss- I used to run the BMR Trak-Pak, but was dissatisfied with it for several reasons; the main one being that the cross-brace that the front of the arm mounted to was too flimsy. additionally, the design of the front mount does not allow the arm to freely move in all of the dimensions that it needs to (rolling and yawing are asking for bind).

Some folks like the Spohn arm, but the only person that I have met that had one broke it... Spohn replaced it for free (hooray for customer service!!), but that's still trouble that he had to go through.

The GW unit has its supporters as well, though I have no experience with them, so I can't really comment.

I'm now running the LGM piece and am very satisfied with it; light, simple, and effective.

<img src="http://www.lgmotorsports.com/g2/g2-torquearm.jpg" alt=" - " />

The innovation is in the front mount... LGM doesn't show their mount in the pics for a reason, but I can tell you that it allows the arm to move in all of the necessary dimensions with minimal binding. Some folks don't like the fact that the mount is still on the side of the tranny, but if one of the heavy hitters from MTI (Nineball) can get away with it, chances are that you can, too.

Mitch, perhaps he means full-length, etc... A lot of the arms also pull the front of the arm off the side of the tranny, so perhaps that's what he was after... other than that, I dunno...
