Best brake system! Hi to all guys ;
A friend of mine wants to buy a set of extremly good brake system for his C5.Another guy with a C5 haves a Brembo f/r complete kit on his car but my friend wants a better system (if avaible )so i checked the Baer Claw & psiton front/4 psiton rear 13.5 dia front rotor system for his car and it looks good to me.(at least on the paper)

Biggest ones is coming from D.Rippie (14 fronts)

I know the fact bigger is not allways better but give your opinions guys.Money is not a option to him.

Re: Best brake system! What about Wilwood 6piston drilled and sloted 13" all new bolts and mounting brackets to the hub. I don't know If the Bear has those. And best of all keep the 17" wheels and $1200 retail price. Right now it is too much brake for my car grabs so hard the car nose hits the ground and the car locks up easy.

Re: Best brake system! We have developed a new C5 brake package using the Wilwood 6 piston caliper. It will bolt directly under the Z06 wheel, and uses our G-Stop DBA rotors.
The total price of the complete front set up, and a rear rotor only is $1499.
That is right, only $1499 or $1299 for just the front set up.
Again, that includes the front G-Stop rotors, brackets, 6 Piston Wilwood calipers, Pads, and SS brake lines.
This is only for the C5s., but there is a fine Z06 upgrade for the Fbodies in stock now.

Re: Best brake system! I thought no matter what type of brakes are used on the street, the braking is only as good as the tires and that those types of brakes are a waste on the street. Can't the factory brakes outbrake the normal street radial as is?
