For better stopping power, I'd first use better tires, then better pads. Switching to a better set of shocks helped me trmendously too.

I'm mainly interested in helping slow down 1/4 mile blasts. Not for road racing or autocrossing or anything that harsh

Pads.....Carbotech, Hawk, EBC and several others make great pads. The street pads are a great improvement over your stock pads (in almost all cases) and the race pads are outstanding. THe race pads make noise (squeak and squeal) and dust....and they can chew up rotors. But, they will stop you....Call the manufacturers and their resellers and see what they recommend (I've had great luck with advice from Larry at Carbotech www.carbotecheng.com). Good luck.

You can go full ABS at least once, probably 2-3 times from 135 mph. Are you just looking to spend some money or what ? Just stay completely away from race pads, they require alot of heat to work correctly and you won't have any of that at the end of the 1/4 mile.
