Well, you all talked about warped rotors, any my 31K used 98 Ws6 didnt have any... which was good.

I've been driving it for the last 9K and now it just started warping <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> Bad.

Well, i went to autozone and got their $38 replacement rotors that i have been reccomended.

Not sure what to do for pads, bought their $30 lifetime pads.. but not sure if i want to install them, or not....

please remember I am a broke college student on a budget, but also dont want to skimp where safety is a concern. I need something decent to last 20K or so, by then i hope to upgrade to vette or larger brakes

Oh, and i do torque my wheels w/ 100# torque wrench every time.

Sounds like a good plan on a budget . You gota lfetime warranity on rotors and pads.

they said only 3 month warranty on the rotors, i thought i had heard others on here talk about lifetime warranty on rotors. They said, not on rotors. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> Only pads.

Did they change it? if so, anybody in orlando have lifetime warranty on rotors, that could help me if i need to use it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

(I'm going to get my stockers turned for short term use, backup only)

According to the guy I talked to at Autozone, they are taking away a lot of lifetime warranty stuff. They were losing money on it according to him.

I found this out last week when I bought a set of rotors.

they warranty the pads because they jack the price up a rediculous amount. they make a 400% profit so they can afford to replace them. the pads also chew up the rotors which only have the 3 month warranty. it's business, bad business but business none the less.
