I'll let you know in a week or two. I just ordered mine a few days ago. I'm getting the Spohn crome-moly rod end with front and rear driveshaft loops torque arm. I have been checking with f-body owners in the area and on-line Spohn seems to be a well know and very good quality vendor.

I have the new style Spohn adjustable and it kicks ***!! Car has a SY3500, 12 bolt 3.73's, TR224, SFC's, Eibach Pro Kit, full interior on Nitto DR's and I was cutting 1.6 60's at G-ville today. The only drawback during install was that since the car is lowered we had to "modify" the tunnel to clear the TA mount on the 12 bolt. Nothing a cutting wheel, some sheet metal and a mig welder couldnt fix!!

I'm very satisfied with my LG/G2 unit. Just swap in a polyurethane tranny mount (since it is a full-length piece that bolts to the side of the tranny with a special mount), and you should be good to go.

I know a guy (a fellow LS1tech member, Glenn98M6) who broke his Spohn arm some time back; Spohn replaced it for free (it's great to see companies standing behind their work!!), but Glenn wanted to try something different (read: quieter, with better ground clearance). He switched to the LGM arm, and to my knowledge, hasn't looked back.

Personally, I started off with the BMR Trak Pak, and like the LG arm MUCH better, as the car seems to hook harder (though I admit that I have no track times to confirm this), make less noise, and believe it or not, ride smoother.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say that either the Spohn or the BMR is a piece of $#!+; I am just providing experiences that I have had personally, as well as those of another member. I have never heard of any issues with the LG arm.

i havent heard of many people breaking the spohn, and if they did they got a replacement. 500 for a torque arm is just more than i got to spend right now. maybe if it was closer to 400...

I would find another $100 to keep from removing my seats and carpeting to drill the necessary holes to mount a TA.

Or remove the trans mount, take it to a welding shop to have a mount welded to it.

Either way, you will spend $100 in time, material and/or effort.

When Glenn finally hit a piece of road debris with his Spohn TA and it ripped the front mount out of the car, bending the crap out of his floor pan, he decided a TA that used all the stock mounting points was more worth the effort.

And the fact that it worked very well and had zero clearance issues with exhaust, sub frame connectors, etc. was a bonus.

It's not too pricey when you break the others. Nineball is have great success with an LG TA.

And I'm not too crazy about having to alter or fabricate mounting points to install a part.

actually, its more than 100 difference. the spohn includes 2 driveshaft loops at that price. so its almost 200 more <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> . im not a baller yet <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I just installed the Spohn TA on my Moser 12 bolt. Had a few problems getting it on:
https://ls1tech.com/ubb/ultimatebb.p...c;f=2;t=005925
But overall, I think Spohn the best TA for the money. I like the front pivot point and how it uses the tunnel brace mounts (no drilling or welding). Guys are running 9's with the Spohn and no problems yet. I just got the single DS loop in the front. IMO, having two loops is overkill plus I can see with the rear loop getting in the way.

Clearance is good. I don't have any pics yet but here's a few of others:

QTP did say the strange was different so maybe it fits that axle better.
