Re: Spohn Torque Arm on a Lowered Car
Spohn claims 4.5 inches of clearance on a stock F-body. I have the Eibach Pro kit so im guessing I'm about 1.75 lower than stock. Should put me at 2.75" of clearance. That doesnt sound like alot. I'm gonna have to measure my exhaust from the ground and see how low that is now. Don't knwo if that will enough or not.
Any input guys?
Thanks Rob

Re: Spohn Torque Arm on a Lowered Car
Lowered w/ a Pro Kit here. We had to do 2 major mods for clearance.
First was to cut the "dip" out of the cross-bar and weld in straight tubing.
2nd was to cut 5x5 hole out of drivers side rear tunnel to clear mounting arm at rear. We fabricated a "box style" cover, welded and sealed it and now it's good to go.
Neither of these mods should be undertaken unless you have access to a welder and some mechanical aptitude. Steve Spohn will be up front and honest about these "areas of concern" if you call and ask him. I knew well ahead of time that i would have to modify it.
Overall I love the TA though. 1.66 60's on Nittos, lowered, SY3500, 3.73's, TR224, full interior. No complaints.
