Ok guys, which pads are the best for a daily driver in Southern California that wont squeel like pig and not cause a dust storm? And where is the best place to buy them?

You can't beat the factory AC Delco pads. Not the Duro Stops, they suck bad.
Original AC Delco pads. On stock rotors you can only stop so much on street tires. A set of Brembo's up front won't do any better.

I bought some Autozone ceramic pads and they don't squeel and don't dust but they do have tremendus amount of brake fade. They don't stand up to anykind of spirited driving.

Hey Honez, I live mission viejo too, small world, I bought the Raybestos Quiet Stop pads front and the Raybestos "pgd" pad for the rear, no quiet stop available. Had them for 4 months now and no squeaking, great braking, and very little dust. I bought my pads at Kragen on El Toro rd.Part #'s are pgd749qs front and pgd750 rear.

Ok, I'm already aware of the Tue night thing there. Maybe it beefs up during the summer when school is out. I know that for me the kids would have to be left behind because of it being a school night.

<strong> Thanks guys for the info, it looks like the overwhelming majority thinks that the stock pads from dealer is the way to go. At $155 for the front and $83 for the back it's going to be a few bucks to do these brakes. What about rotors, do you get pedal feedback from drilled and slotted or does the pedal feel the same as stock rotors? Does anyone have any connections for getting these parts cheaper?

Don't buy them from your local RIP-OFF dealer. Call parts here and get them for about half price:

OC BLACKZ28 I see in your profile that you work in parts, can you save me any money on parts? Another question for you, is there a local club for us, haven't found anyone yet and have been looking.

Honez, sorry man but I import o.e parts from Japan for Honda's and other Japanese cars for dealerships. No parts for american cars. I bought rotors from, autozone, the regular ones and they have been fine, I have been abusing them and they have held up fine. The whole thing only cost around $275 or something, it was under $300 for pads and rotors all the way around.
The only time people meet that I know of is on Tues. nights at Fuddruckers on El Toro road. I went by a few times and checked it out, there is a small car show every tues. night and a couple of guys are there.
