Default 1/4 Mile Question

If my trap speed for two runs is the same, but my times are different by .54 seconds, what does that mean? ?

Also, I am getting no traction at all at the drag strip and its because I am running BF Goodrich GForce T/A KDWS. I am going to switch to Nittos or BF Goodrich Comp Radial (<--that the proper name?) Which of these two drag radials is better? Thanks.

MPH is a indication of power, ET depends alot on your launch. You could spin all over the place and your MPH won't change much. Get off the line crappy, spin all over the place and your ET will suffer greatly as you found out.
From what I've heard, the BFG Drag Radials are barely better than the Nittos at the strip. I've had the BFGs but not the Nittos so I'm only repeating what I've heard.

I've read on a thread here that the nitto drags are a better tire for the street and the BFG drags are a little better for the 1/4 mile. In other words, if your f-body is a daily driver, buy the nitto's!

The one thing I am worried about is with the stage 4 clutch getting power to the ground so quick, and having drag radials gripping, my stock rear end is going to be under some stress. I cant afford a 12 bolt or any rear end for that matter, so has anyone ever destroyed a stock rear end, and how?

My original rear had around 100 1/4 mile passes on before I replaced with another. The reason I replaced it was I found another with 4.10s already in it. I slip the clutch of the line, that my be why it lasted. Drop the clutch at 4 grand or so, dead hook and it may break.
Want to go fast at the strip, buy a 12 bolt or a 9 inch and slap some slicks on it. Fretting over the two choices of Drag Radials don't make no sense. You could slap some ETs on the thing and be easy on the launch and your axle will last. Get a good 60ft with either set of drag radials and it might break.

Does it make any sense to buy a used 9 inch or a 12 bolt? Or is it better just to get a new one? I know they are around 2000 and I can't afford that right now.
