Anyone running Prokit & SLP Bilsteins

Re: Anyone running Prokit & SLP Bilsteins
I've got them with SLP's Eibach springs, but I haven't been able to drive the car since they went on (stupid MI winter).
From what I was told when I was researching the purchase, SLP takes some bump out of the standard Bilstein shock and adds some rebound. Sam Strano doesn't think too highly of them, but they get good reviews from folks who use them on daily driven cars.
Aren't regular Bilsteins and Stano revalves still on backorder? That may be something to think about if you can get SLP Bilsteins now rather than waiting for the others. I got mine right away back in January.

Well, I can tell you I SLP's Bilstein for daily driving and have no complaints. Ofcourse I have the stock ride height but it doesn't matter. I have no plans to lower the car in the near future. You will notice a difference between the stock shocks and the SLP's. I did!
Sorry to say but these cars have stiff rides from factory and furthermore, why are you adding springs if you don't want too stiff of a ride for the camaro? The Bilstein shocks alone on the car is as good as it gets for $400 IMO. I plan to add a rear swaybar(21mm) and poly's all around w/ the Edelbrock torque arm to compliment the suspension.

Anyone running Prokit & SLP Bilsteins
Hey Guys, my wife has an 02 SS with the shitty stock suspension. I already have a prokit and new swaybars waiting to go in, my real dilema is what bilsteins to run. I am not sure if I should do HD, SLP's, or Sam Strano revalves. They are listed in order of price, but I am not sure what to pick. My wife drives the car 15 miles or so to work and that's it. I don't want a crazy firm ride, nor do I REALLY want to spend $550 or so for full revalves. What to do? The prokit is already here so changin springs is not an option. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Bear

i have the prokit with slp bilsteins and the car handles fine on the street. real smooth ride very responsive.. you can go with the HDs or the stranos but thats just adjusting the strut for that exact spring rate but its no biggie if you dont revalve them. you can see pics of my car below
