Default 9.5" Rim (Front) - What's the smallest tire?

Currently I have 275/40/17's on the fronts on a 17 x 9.5" rim.

I want to go to a smallest possible tire without looking ghetto or setting off ABS.

I've looked at 255/45/17's but it's about .5" taller

245/45/17's would work and be the perfect height, but I was told that they would be stretched on that size rim.

Does anyone have any pictures?

I don't mind if it looks even or very slightly smaller than the rim, but nothing raked.

Default Re: 9.5" Rim (Front) - What's the smallest tire?

Using specs for a BF Goodrich G-Force T/A KD, a 275/40-17 is 25.7 tall and recommends a rim width of 9"-11". A 245/45-17 is also 25.7 tall and recommends a rim width of 7.5"-9". I'd say that a 245/45-17 is a good choice as far as the ABS sensors are concerned. It appears that you will lose roughly 1 inch in tire width (once actually mounted on your wheels (this is an approximation). Take a look at your wheels and see if you think you would like the looks of the wheel after taking 1/2 inch off of the tire on both sides of the wheel. For more information, click on this link:

and then hit "refresh" and you should have a list of specs on the G-Force T/A KD's from teh tirerack website. Hope this helps. Good luck!
