Earl's Hyperfirm Brake lines?

Earl's Hyperfirm Brake lines?
What exactly will these do for my fbody? I know they keep brake fluid from getting 'backed up' in the line but how much BETTER are they compared to the stock system? My brake lines don't feel spongy at all but I like the protection if I ever need to brake from 140mph. I usually just downshift to slow down to keep the fluid from overheating and the rotors from warping. I'm doing the Baer Eradispeeds with new pads and just thought I might do these at the same time. Thanks.

The advantage to the braided brake lines is that they don't expand or swell (not as much anyway) as stock brake lines when you are using the brakes for a hard stop. The stock lines work well, these will work somewhat better. This will also improve brake pedal "feel" since the system works more effeciently. It is not necessary, but it is not a bad idea. If you change brake lines, you will have to bleed the brake system. Some of people seem to be having rouble getting all the air out of the ABS system when bleeding their brakes. By changing the lines, you may have to deal with this as well (or a trip to the dealer to get it bled with the "tech II" tool. Good luck!

Re: Earl's Hyperfirm Brake lines?
I have Earl's Hyperfirm lines on my car. I had them installed along with an SLP linelock by Speed Inc. I have yet to really test them, but even in normal everyday driving I can tell a difference in more precise pedal feel and firmness.
Realistically, for my driving habits, I really don't need to have steel braided brake lines (Daily Driver with occasional trips to the drag strip - maybe 4 times a year - and only once-in-a-blue-moon autocrossing). But it's nice to know they are there, and the enhanced brake feel is still a plus
Hope this helps
