Default 18x9.5 verse 18x10.5

Ok i can get 4 chrome Y2k C5 wheels in 18x9.5 on ebay for $899. Is it worth an extra $400 to get 18x10.5's for all 4 corners ($1299)?

If i got the 18x9.5 i was going to go with 275/35 on all corners and if i got the 18x10.5 i was going to run 285/35 on all corners. Will they look that much better and perform that much better to justify the extra $400 on wheels that are 1 inch wider and tires that are a little wider? Will both these fit fine without rubbing on a camaro with a pro-kit and revalves.

Thanks

You can run 285/35-18 tires on 18x9.5 rims.
The 18x10.5 rims would fit on the back for sure, and would probably fit the front too.

You could prolly find a set of 295's that you like. Also some 315's (not all check with the maker) will fit <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I run the 18x9.5 C5 rims with 275/35/18 with no problems. I wouldn't do the 10.5 rims because the offset is +65mm, which is too much for a F-body.

are the 10.5's aftermarket wheels or are they the rear Z06 wheels? i'm guessing the 18x9.5's are the standard vette rear wheels? i wouldn't put 10.5's on the front...

I have the C5 Y2K chrome rims on my car. I have 18x10.5 in the rear and 17x9.5 in the front. They are aftermarket rims, but look totally bad. as far as the 18x10.5 in the front, mine wouldn't clear the spindle because it had to much offset...so much it wouldn't even go on the studs!
