Default sway bars not making any sence to me

so i need to order the BMR mounting kit for my sway bar. They make it for axle tubes between 2.5'' and 2.75'', so my stock rear is like 2.6'', so im all good there, BUT for the sway bar it says 19mm or 21mm sway bar. Now i measured my buddys '02 trans am and his is 17mm and i got one off my '89 IROC that is 23mm. So what has 19mm or 21mm?? Or are they measuring a different sway bar or what? So is my 23mm "too" big, lol. Cant see a sway bar being too big at 23mm. Heres the link, scroll to the bottom and read it and see if you can help me out guys.

What year f-body do you have? Stock suspension, or were the sway bars swapped out before? If it's stock suspension, you should have a 19mm rear sway bar. I believe that's the only size (rear swaybar) that came in the late model f-bodies.

If you have a 23 mm bar, just let us know when you order it. We can send 23mm bushings with it.

I think you need better measuring tools.

98-02 stock rear is 19mm, 89 stock rear is 24mm.

To answer your questions, a 19mm is decent with stock 30mm up front, up to 32mm up front (1Le size). Past 32mm up front, go with a 21mm out back.

It's all a system, and parts compliment each other.

Also, create a signature so we know what type of car you have and what you currently have done to it.

im measuring it with a caliper with the bar on my work bench. I use a caliper everyday and i know how to use on, it not rocket science. My buddys '02 trans am is 17mm and mine is 23mm. And im not running a sway bar in the front. Car is set up for street/strip. So i wanna run the 23 in the rear to keep the car nice and straight. Pretty sweet too that BMR replied, kickasss! Thanks and ill call ya today.

More info always helps. I had no idea you are setting it up for drag, my responses reflect handling. Now go create a signature.

I'd suggust re-installing the front bar for street driving and just remove it at the drag strip. You'll see a huge difference in street driving with the front bar back on. It'll be a much bigger difference than "upgrading" the rear bar.
