Difference between Spherical and Reg. Panhards

Whats the difference between the Spherical Ends and the Regular ends on Panhard rods? is it ok to run Spherical on a daily driver or does it matter? thanks

The spherical bearing panhard rods will transmit more noise and vibration into the cabin. They will also locate the rear axle "positively"....it almost can't move. The handling benefits are excellent. (I'm running a spherical panhard rod on my daily driver and have for years). You can get very nearly the benefits from an adjustable panhard rod with poly bushings on it. The noise difference is not all that noticeable, but it is worth it in my opinion to use sphericals. Just my thoughts.

The main advantage to using rod ended parts is they reduce "bind" in the suspension.

I have used both but the rod ends are the best far more over the collapsed rubber bushings over the steel bushing spacers. I have them f/s in the classifieds section...Another good thing is that the billet alum lcas weigh 2.5 lbs a piece and the phr weighs 4 lbs. and are super strong... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

So using Spherical ends would be ok but your saying rod ends are better?

Spherical ends, rod ends, heim joints....they are all actually the same thing. There are Poly bushings, rubber bushings and "rod ends". The rod ends are much better, but they will transmit slightly nor noise into the cabin than rubber or poly.
