I recently installed a set of aluminum adjustable rod/rod LCA's & PHR (Looks like the PPC brand pieces) from a fellow forum user. The pieces are a great improvement over the BMR poly/poly pieces I had on the car except that the lock/jam nuts keep coming loose.
I was wondering if this is a typical problem with adjustable rod ends, and what you all do to cure the problem? I was thinking loc-tite should work, but want to make sure that it's the best way to address the issue before I go pulling stuff down.
Any help is appreciated. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I loctited my BMR's when I installed them and they have not moved....ever. Use medium strength (blue? I think) or red if you never plan to adjust them again. I added it to the rod end and to teh jam nut....it is in there quite well....Good Luck.

I just installed an identical set of LCAs like yours and i used locktite (blue) on the jamnuts... which I found hard to tighten but I did my best. After a few minutes it was so stiff I could hardly undo them and they're probably rock solid now... Its amazing.
Definetly put some blue locktite on them, no more jam nut woes! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I used the blue stuff on my aphr and lca's. The aphr used to come loose before I used the loctite.

Can anybody steer me in the right direction on how these type of lca's and phb are suppose to be adjusted? I did a search on the site but didn't find any results..not sure if that is due to the new design or not.

The LCA's are supposed to be set to the same length as the stock control arms. The PHB can be adjusted so the rear axle is centered under the car.
This may help clarify....

That will work fine.
I personally can't stand loc-tight (seems I always need to take something off 2 days after I loc-tight it and then its a PITA
). I just got a wrench that fit the jam nut and one that fit the LCA and gave it a really good turn.
