Default Major front suspension problem.

I had just got my car back from being in the shop after my bro took it on a curb at 45 Driverside first. Well i though they had fixed every thing but now I have come onto a problem. During driving today I was taking a sharp turn while hard braking and hheard a loud POP!! next thing i know my alingment is way off. I have to have the wheel atleast a quarter turn the the left to go straight what could have cause this. I checked the driver side and all I noticed that could be off was that the endlink bolt and bushing for the sway bar were off. The bolt was bent and had some play in it could this be my problem. I really think the shop just riged it up while doing the alingment becasue it feels just like it did before i took it in as if they had just tightend somthing up and alinged it. Anyone know if i am right about whats wrong or can tell what what else it could be.

From your description, it sounds exactly like you broke an end link bolt.
But, the question remains ... why?

Let me guess ... you were turning right when all this happened ...

But this is a huge clue as to the problem ....

I suspect the alignment dude didn't tighten the camber adjustment bolt tight and the lower A-Arm slipped in the adjustment slot. And now, you have a HUGE amount of toe out.

Just a guess ...

It i was turning when this happend and now the steering wheel is turned about 1/4 the way I was tunring if i set it straight i start to go to the right. I really think that it was Bad fromt he wreck and they did nothing but align it so now when I made a sharp turn while breaking it let go and threw it way out of alignment. I will probably just fix it myself and get energy suspension endlinks and see if that will fix the problem. I just hope my sway bar is not bent but i think it is guess i will find out.

A broken end link will NOT cause a front end misalignment.

What he said, sounds like one of the adjustments slipped(camber or caster)

Ok well the shop wasn't open today so I could not get it check so What should I look for under the car to make sure the adjustment slipped and the problem is not somthing worse unless that is the only thing that could have done this. I proeety much check everything i could with the wheel off but i didint go under the car the rack and ball joint were good. onlything i noticed was the endlink bent and has alot of play like it broke at the bottom. So were can i find the adjustment bolt on the A-arm. I cant really tell which adjustment slipped But when the driver wheel is stright the pass wheel is turned alittle so drivng down the road the car is fighting it self every bump it wants to pull to either side.

See where the lower A-Arm attaches to the K-Member?

The forward attaching point is the camber adjustment and the one in back is Caster.

If the camber adjustment slipped, the A-Arm will be moved in ... towards the center of the car.
