Quick Question - Power Steering Cooler?

Mine died and I put a air cooled one. Much better IMHO.
I got the fittings at Mcmaster.com, p/n 53525K57, order qty. 1, they come 2 per pkg.
You will need enough 3/8 hose to get from the cooler to the ps fluid reservoir and 4 clamps. LT1 cars need 3' of hose. LS1 cars, I don't know.
I used 1" x 1" aluminum angle from Home Depot and stainless screws and nylon locknuts from my local Ace Hardware to mount it. No modification to the fan is necessary if you make your brackets right. The easiest way to mount the cooler to the radiator shroud is to remove it from the car. On LT1 cars just disconnect the fan wires and lift the shroud until it clears its mounts and then it comes right out the bottom. LS1 cars are probably the same.
To hook it up, locate the ps hose that runs from the rack to the reservoir. That is the ps fluid return. Pull that hose off the reservoir and run it into the cooler. Route it carefullly and cut it to the correct length and it will fit pretty nicely. Run the 3/8" hose off the other cooler fitting up to the reservoir. You will need to add ps fluid because of the cooler adding capacity to the system.

Ive been driving around for two weeks w/ a blown power steering pump. Today the bearing came off and took the belt with it on the highway. I had just enough time pull over and shut her off before she got to hot.
True One Pump it is.
