Default Subframe connectors

Ive got some BMR boxed SFCs... The only thing that bothers me, both of them have something (weld slag probably) inside of them. You can shake it and here it rattleing around. Anyone else run into this? I dont want to weld this to my car and have it rattle bad. Just curious if this is normal, or should I get a new set. Thanks.

I honestly wouldn't worry about it. Its not gonna effect how they work & you probably won't even be able to hear a little piece of weld rattling inside them when the car is running.

Not a reason to get new one if you ask me, unless your that **** about stuff.

I wasnt afraid of it affecting how it would work, If I weld something onto my car and it ends up rattling nonstop im gonna be pretty pissed.

Is your exhaust really that quiet & is the rattle loud enough off the car that you think it could actually be heard while on the car & moving or with it at least idling??

Those are the question I would ask myself before goin to get new parts. Just my opinion though.

Very tough question to answer. You paid for a product...if you are not satisfied with it due to a manufacturer defect then I would return it. But consider your options and is it a defect, will it bother you? Will you have to pay for shipping to send it back and will you lose that money? I have BMR boxed SFC's and did not have that problem.

I wouldnt lose moeny on shipping, as It was shipped to me free, and I have connections at UPS, so its not that bad, but it would be a pita. But I jsut cant deceide what would be more of a pain, having to live with it welded on to the car, and since its obvoiousy a defect because no one else has this prob im leaning to shipping them back.

But id still like to know if anyone had this prob and installed them... This is always my luck. Always has been lol. I went though 2 defective power steering pumps, I bought an amp that had a leaking capacitor, My pacesetters had a huge weld inside the O2 Bung, One of my MSD wires had a messed up connector I had to heat it and pull it out of the boot and reshape it.

Edit:
Im sure this was caused probably by shipping, was dropped or something and some of the weld slag just broke off or something. The above is just my LUCK.

Thanks for all the replies and if anyone had a rattle inside the SFC and installed it id love to hear from you....

I answered your email this morning. Have you checked your emails? (your PM box is full) I basically stated that if for any reason you are not happy with the product I am willing to replace them at NO COST to you. All I need is for you to contact me to make the arrangements

You will NEVER hear it. I had a few small pieces of weld in mine, and you CAN NOT hear it- especially in an f-body.

I have the BMR SFC's and didn't have this but I wouldn't worry much about it if I had. I really don't think you will be able to hear it.

If your ears are that fine tuned, increase the volume **** on the radio and be done with it.

Thats what im looking for. I think Im gonna install them. If they rattle, I can always drill a small hole and shot some foam into them and weld a plate around it.

I had the same rattle. Can't hear anything when they are on the car. Notice how you have to shake it to hear it. Your car will not be shaking like that.
