BMR torque arm broke in half... WTF!!
cruising home on the PA turnpike, doing 70mph. not speeding not beating on the car or anything..all the sudden, I hear a smack and DING DING DING. I pull over right away, look under my car and see the torque tube laying there. Its only been on the car for 2000 miles. Im gonna call BMR on monday and see if they will do anything (doubt it) Ill post pics tomorrow night. Can you guys give me any ideas for a good torque arm with a moser 12 bolt?

There was another post here, https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...oke+torque+arm, where a guy broke the mounting bracket off of his BMR non-adjustable torque arm. He thought it was because of the mounting points not being thick enough, but people replied that it was the loose torque arm bolts that were the cause.

If you'll look on BMR's website, they say specifically they will not warranty their parts when used on a Moser 12-bolt because of how the torque arm mounts (four bolts into blind threaded holes instead of two through bolts). My guess is that the bolts in your Moser backed out. This is nothing new with that particular rear end. I have a feeling BMR is not at fault here...sorry

well I put the car in the air today. there was only 1 bolt ontop of the rear holding the torque arm on and it was HAND TIGHT!. The top plate was broken completly in half. The bottom of the torque arm is cracked almost all the way through. the bottom bolts on the rear were fine and then the bolt infront of the pivot point was not very tight. I read BMRs website and I saw that qoute. Im still going to call tomorrow and see what they will do if anything. Mine was adustable. took pics, will post tomorrow

Just admit the mistake was yours and ask them how much a new rear bracket is. I don't care what brand TA it is but this happens ALOT, do a search and you will see.

Since when is loose bolts the fault of the owner? is it his fault they naturally backed off due to the design of the mount? lol funny ****
