Default Price for cage install>

Im looking to have a 6 point roll cage installed in my 2000 SS. I already have everything. I just need someone to put it in and weld everything together. Interior will already be out of the car because its being changed from tan to black and I will be painting the cage silver. Can you guys give me some good ideas of the price I should pay?

The problem will be finding a fabricator that will weld another shop's cage for laibility purposes. If there is a failure, the cage maker will point the finger at improper fitting adn the welder will say poor craftmanship on the design.

JMHO ....

Has the cage been fitted and notched? Just needs to be welded?

well Im in PA and I would take the car to the welder. It would be stripped inside so they wouldnt have to modify the interior or anything. just point and weld...

Welding rates vary by region ...

Around here (DFW, Texas) TIG will cost you probably $80-100 an hour and MIG about 2/3 of that assuming remote welding and not shop welding. Rates are considerably lower if you take the car to the welder.

And there is probably 2 to 3 hours of prep and welding, depending upon how accessible the tops of the tubes are.

Just a guess ...
