is this the right pinion angle?

yea, i did the the "right" way. My crank was +1.5*, then i made my pinion -.5* Making the total -2* So if this correct, under full throttle my pinion and trans should be 0*, making it perfect under full throttle. Am i in the right state of mind? It is late and i over thought this too much already.

well, if your crank is pointing up (looking towards the front of the car) at 1.5* and your pinion is also pointing up (looking towards the front of the car) at 0.5*, then you have 1.0* difference and your overall pinion angle (in reference to your crank/tranny output shaft) is -1.0* (tipped down 1.0* in reference to your crank/tranny output shaft)....which is damn near perfect I think. I have mine set at around -0.5* or so, as I wanted it about as close as possible under cruising conditions.
