you can find them cheaper on ebay.
Get with UMI (or byunspeed, who carries UMI stuff) and get their C5 brake adapters. you can buy just the adapters (where you have to get your own rotors, calipers and caliper brackets) or various different levels of the kit, up to a complete kit.
If you can find a cheap (or free) set of LT1 spindles, then you can sell your spindle, calipers and caliper brackets as a fbody big brake kit for $125-150 to help offset your cost towards the C5 kit.

It is only worthwhile to get the front calipers from a z06, as they do the majority of the braking work. You can get them from gmpartsdirect for about $95/each.
You could also do what I'm planning on doing and get some LG brackets and keep the stock f-body calipers. This will allow you to move the calipers out more for more clamping power and still keep the stock calipers. I'm planning on going supercheap and get the napa or autozone rotors (50-60 for both), some pbr metal-master pads from stranoparts ($60), and replacement fluid from strano ($10). That plus the brackets comes out to about $400 for a c5 brake rotor upgrade.
