I've boiled brake fluid. It's not fun at all. The pedal heads for the floor and the brakes do very little or nothing at all. Once fluid boils, it's typically easier to boil it the next time. Flush it out and get some better fluid in there, it's worth it if you're making that much heat (I was using Carbotech's original Panther pads to make that kind of heat). It can act like "green fade" which is what the holes are for, but it's a bit different. I can't say I've had much green fade (I think I saw it once when bedding a set of new pads in, but I wasn't able to really say for sure if that was the case), and I have boiled fluid on occasion. I've also had pad fade (get them too hot, they just quit working). All 3 are different in how they act and what causes them.
