Brake repair saga continues, caliper pistons not moving equally
Here's a background on my issues:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/suspension-brakes/592106-strange-brake-pad-wear-poor-braking-feel-performance.html
Now I've got the new stuff on there and just to test before finishing up, I had someone push the brakes and see if the pistons were moving equally. Nope. One was moving far more than the other, it matched the pad where the most wear had occurred.
So what do I need to do to get my caliper pistons to move at the same rate?
The guide pins were moving smoothly. I made sure to regrease them as well.
Thanks! I appreciate it, I'd like to get my car on the road again, it's been far too long.

The pistons will move un equally untill they touch something, then the slower piston should catch up, thats normal. As long as they retract back into the caliper body your probably okay. I have seen a tool that measures pressure, its a block that will take the place of the pad and can measure the pressure from a piston. The calipers can be rebuilt, replace the o-ring seals around the pistons.
