I bought shocks and bars off of Sam about 2 years ago, I would have spent more money but he told me that I should not do to much at one time, and I am glad he did that. He was very helpful and VERY knowledgeable, the best customer service I have ever delt with and the female.....his mom I guess.....was very nice and helpful to.

I never compare prices when it comes to the things he sells, if by chance it is a little extra it is well worth the few extra dollars to buy from him.

...especially when (not if) you need advice/assistance further down the road.

Because of all of your experiences, I will be ordering my suspension pieces from him.

If there is a premium for ordering from Strano, then you're undoubtedly purchasing the right to pick his brain. I look forward to the day I return home. And the first thing I'm going to do is... order a cellphone. Then I shall call Mr. Strano on that cell phone.

But really Sam, if you would just answer a few questions over e-mails I'd be more than happy to place an order now just to have it by the time I get home. Heck, I'll even pay a deposit!
It's not that I don't want to answer your questions, it's that I really can't do it and know that I'm not missing something. I've tried and it usually causes more trouble than it's worth because details matter, and details are the first things that get missed with e-mail.....

As for paying a premium. I appreciate the fact there are folks out there willing to pay for service. However, I work pretty hard to make sure I'm as competitive as I can be with our parts. While I'm rarely the cheapest (that's usually some nobody on E-bay with no overhead), we are very price competitive. Basically the advice comes for free to customers in the end.

I completely agree with everyone here. Strano's customer service is awesome! I called him for spring/shock advise, and was going to order his springs and revalves, but he actually talked me out of it! Told me that for what I wanted, just the koni's would probably suffice and be cheaper than the spring & shock setup. How many times will a vender talk you out of their product if it is in your best interest and not theirs? Long story short, I ended up ordering his springs and the koni's Mostly due to the great customer service! I will definitely be doing more business with him in the future.

Sam gave me my first auto-x setup. He also instructed me at my Evo school in Atlanta. No exageration, I remember almost every single word of the entire day of instruction - and try to pass it on to others (now that I've been doing this a few years).
