the only advice I have is to keep all the bolts loose during install. DO NOT tighten anything until every bolt is threaded in about halfway. After every bolt is where it should be then you can tighten them down. Things need some give to line up properly. I struggled with the mounts for probably an hour before I loosened everything back up. At that point it slid together with no problems. Also of note. Many people have had problems with the bolts backing out and even falling out. Put a bit of thread lock on each on to ensure things stay put.

For the record, I picked solid mounts because I heard repeated stories of the headers melting the poly ones, or at the bare minimum causing them to sag after a couple months. Not everyone has had these problems, but enough has that I decided it wasn't worth spending money twice.

The only thing that would personally keep me from going with a full soild mount is the vibration that these mounts must endure. That type of environment is fatigue-city, and it would only take one poor weld or flaw in the material itself to cause a crack to form and propagate. How likely that is to happen, I don't know. But if the thought is entering my head, it is enough to keep me away from them.

I love the "race car" feel. I dont think i would worry about the welds. Tig welds are strong and usually dont have any imperfections but anyhting is possible i guess.

I bought Sophin LSX solid mount motor. I ready to put it on 2001 Camaro V-8 Crossmember and found out that it not fit on crossmember located or not properly set up. It made me puzzled.

1)Do I have to weld on LSX solid mount on crossmember? Or Make drill on crossmember and put new bolts?

2) Is small LSX solid mount(marked "R") at passenger side? Other one more tall.

I plan put new LS2 Carburator motor with T-56.

Please send me instrument of LSX Solid Motor Mount.

Please let me know about it.
