No particular reasons other then ive used energy suspension through out my 84 and 87 camaro motor mounts and all and loved everything about them. Prothane is stll new to me i guess but i would like to know if energy suspension makes them for ls1 cars caseu i want them. Plus someone else had mentioned in a thread about the es tans mount is one piece which is nice compared to prothanes 2 piece.

Two piece transmission mount? You're gonna have to expand on this one, because that doesn't make sense at all to me. Even the factory rubber piece is one piece...if you are referring to the preload plate, that's another story.
As for not using Prothane, I don't think you have a good enough reason to not use them. Brand loyalty happens, but in this case, I don't think it is warranted.

I check summit, jegs, and most of our sponsors for them and its either solids or prothanes. Ive been thinking more towards some solids anyways. I checked energy suspensions website and they list up to 93-97's but no 98-02's.

Prothane makes a direct replacement LS1 F-body poly engine mount. Its a high quality piece and is what many folks including myself use when they go to a poly engine mount. IIRC ES makes an LT1 part that can be shimmed with washers to work for an LS1 application, but I don't see why you would go that route when the Prothane parts work great...

I just got prothane "inserts" dunno how they do in yet but I also got a poly. trans mount to go along with it. Putting them in over the weekend. The trans mount is a one peice and the inserts are just that.

geez what a fun job that was....not!
I have no issues with the Prothanes...I have the ES torque arm mount....have had the ES tranny mount in the past, worked fine, have the Prothane there now, too....i looked for ES only because i have used them in the past, so good luck with the search and hopefully you'll never have to replace them again
