Strange S5271 Front Shock Setup Question Ok I am a little confused on how to install the S5271 Strange front racing shock correctly in a 99 Camaro. The new shocks come with a spring tower instead of using the original mounting place for the spring. I don't know if you are supposed to use the new spring tower or the old one. The way I think the shock should work it seems like the setup will not be able to handle the weight of the car. I think the rubber bushing will go through the old spring mount. I have attatched pictures of the setup.

Correct setup This is the correct way to install the shocks and springs. I called up BMR and they confirmed the install. I also just for good measure modified the washer for the bushings. I welded on a larger washer to make sure that the bushing could not drive through the original spring tower.
