How important is a Driveshaft Loop?
#41
Has anyone tried the Spohn driveshaft loop? I tried putting mine on, and its hitting the inside of the tunnel on the passenger side, so I cant get the two bolts holding the whole thing on in. I really dont feel like BFHing the tunnel.

THIS is why you want a safety loop

Those suckers will break and bounce around the tunnel like crazy.
More pics of the tranny (or what's left of it)

BMRs works nice, and the one I got from Spohn fit my JetHot Hookers perfectly.
There are several others on the market with a 1-2" dip.

well i spent 2 hours and made my own looks just like the Bmr one the only thing diffrent the loop is a little bit thinner but not much !! It isnt to hard just alot of measuring and checking angles and getting clearance right. I know i could have just bought one but i like to try to do things myself and if i fail then i go out and buy one lol.

The only thing about using the Lakewood is that you have to remove the seats and carpet. After that you have to drill holes in the body to bolt the loop to. If you go with the SLP it just bolts right up. Either way you go they do the same thing.

Anyone have any recommendations for a loop with Borla? I'd rather not have to remove the driveshaft....(the lakewood looks nearly Identical to the Spohn...)

Where could you mount a DS loop if you have 3 PT subframe connectors?
That flat piece of stamped steel might actually have some rigidity in the horizontal position...
And how low does the DS loop hang?
Those look pretty low and I scrape enough as it is...
