Default i hate my brakes...

a little over a year ago i put on new rotors and pads but they squeeled from the very beginning and progressively got worse...a month ago i noticed from stop to roll a sqeek every time my front passenger wheel rotated but as i got to around 20 mph it went away all the time it seemed everything squeeled when i applied brakes...

a week ago i changed my pads cuz my rotors seemed fine no warping from i could tell and they were quiet...but now im getting worse squeels from my brakes than before...

whats the deal? any help?

its gonna happen when u put new pads on rotors that have worn to other pads.you got 2 surfaces that are not on the same plane, also the edge of the pads r making contact w/ a little lip made by the other pads.cut the rotors, bevel the edge of pads,& lubricate the hardware.give that a try and it does not correct the noise, try a differant brand pad.

switch to ceramic. Its the semi metallic material compound in your pads making your brakes squeal. My wifes car did the same thing, swapped them out for ceramics and noise is gone.

i was told that if i got the cross drilled and slotted then i should run semi metallic rather than ceramic...whats the word on that?
