Default Convertible traction VS Coupe

Well im arguing with a buddy of mine. he says convertibles track much better than coupe f-bods. i seriously doubt that.... im talking stock VS stock. whats your input?

They have more weight in the back with the top motor and other equipment, but it doesn't make that much of a difference when you are launching it at the track. For the record I have owned a hard top, T-Top, and Convertible.

whatever you gain by having a little extra weight in the back at launch is probably offset by having to lug the extra junk all the way down the track.. once you get off the line.
