Labor for LS1 brake conversion?

Labor for LS1 brake conversion? I went to goodyear to get a quote for the conversion and they said 300+ bucks not including pads and rotors...does that sound right? If it is, would I be able to do it myself? I'm only 18 and have never serviced brakes or anything before. Also what tools would I need? My car is a 94 z btw
