Default BMR torque arm NOISE!!!

Yesterday I installed a BMR adjustable torque arm on my 01' ram air. I placed the rear on jack stands then set pininion angle to -2 like the instructions said and tightened everything up. After I went for a test drive then every damn bump on the road I hit with the rear wheels was a loud thud sound!!! I have no idea what it could be; has anyone ever experienced this?

I experienced the hell out of it with a RT adjustable arm
and finally took it off.

The pumpkin bolts want to be dogged down to full torque,
it's a big number is all I remember. The stock bolts to me
look too skinny, like they can shift in the hole with enough
force. Almost like they'd be worth sleeving to eliminate
play there, a millimeter of slop could be enough to get a
good "thunk". The UMI bolt kit I got is beefier & tighter in
the bores.

The other player is the lower control arms, if the new TA
is stiff and doesn't flex to soak up the impact then the
LCA joints will see more of it, these are not all that tight
either, bolt to sleeve, and can slop some. Dog them down
tight as well, only steel-rubber bind will keep the banging
muffled. Might look at the LCA front mount holes for any
sign they're getting beat into oval shape, not that stout
of metal there.

Im using the spohn torque arm bolts since they are both longer & beefier so that would probably eliminate that since they fit perfectly in the holes, I really dont want to take it off since i spent over 3 bills on it, do you think more tightening would do the trick

Give me a call and I would be more then happy to help diagnose the problem. We have sold a few of these over the years and I am sure we can get it resolved.....

Is your car lowered?

I have read and seen where the part of the arm bolts to the pumpkin, hitting the tunnel.

Another comment . . . when I put my arm on, I had no idea which side of the arm to read the gauge, so when I first installed it, I had the axle twisted the wrong way, which caused the passengerside spring to rub the panhard bar mounting bracket . .

just another 2 cents . . .
